Creative Tools
- Record up to four analogue sources simultaneously through the microphone/line inputs, making the Apollo x4 suitable for vocal ensembles, acoustic sessions, stereo instruments and collaborative songwriting.
- Use compatible Unison preamp plug-ins to shape input impedance, gain behaviour and tonal character, bringing the response of modelled analogue equipment into the recording process.
- Connect two guitars or basses directly to the front-panel Hi-Z inputs and develop separate recording tones with compatible amplifier and pedal emulations.
- Build real-time recording and monitoring chains using four onboard DSP cores. Available processing capacity depends on the selected UAD plug-ins and sample rate.
- Create separate headphone mixes through UAD Console and use the two headphone outputs to support sessions with a producer and performer or two musicians.
- Use Auto-Gain to help establish recording levels and recall Plug-In Scenes when switching between performers, instruments or recording tasks.
- Expand the studio through optical ADAT connections, adding compatible microphone preamps, converters or digital equipment as recording requirements grow.
- Compare mixes through alternate speakers and communicate with performers using the built-in talkback microphone.
- Refine monitor or headphone playback with Apollo Monitor Correction when paired with the required Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and compatible calibration equipment.
- Shape recordings with the Analog Classics bundle, combining tube preamp colour, compression and equalisation with tape character, echo and plate reverb.
